Somehow managed to drunk order a delivery from this place a few days ago. I remember very few things from that night but I DO remember the tacos being outstanding. Delivery was fast and food was outstanding. I'm gonna order from here again when I'm sober lol. Loved it. Highly recommend.

Favorite late night eats. Idk how it is during the day but after 2am ITS THE SPOT. Make sure you come with an empty stomach and you will be satisfied. Service is great and the food is good!

I saw the low reviews and had low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. They seated me right away and brought the chips and salsa and horchata I ordered. The salsas didn't look like much, but they had a lot of flavor. I really liked the green one, even though it has a bit of kick, and I am a wuss for spice. I ordered a gordita with barbacoa and a sope with chicharron. It was my first time trying chicharron in green salsa. It was really flavorful. I keep thinking about it! I added some of the green salsa to both dishes and it was a very filling and tasty meal. I would return to try other items from their menu.

I did a togo order around 11pm on a Saturday night. I placed my order over the phone and was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived there was parking available. There were alot of people inside enjoying their meals. They also had a live band performing. I went to the pickup counter and paid for my food. I got the enchiladas plate with a chicken, cheese and beef. I absolutely love the enchiladas here. It's super cheesy with a nice cheese pull. The meat was seasoned well and tasty. So were the beans and rice. It's my favorite place to get the enchiladas.

Ruchi's has never really gotten enough love, IMO. In the grand scheme of things, they are not in Houston's "A-list" of the city's Tex-Mex, that's for sure. But, the reality is, they are serving pretty good Tex-Mex at decent prices. And it arguably is Houston Tex-Mex/taqueria. I have been coming to this particular location since I first moved to Houston. It's in an odd part of town - on a strip of Westheimer several miles West outside of "The Loop," surrounded by a mix of multi-cultural cuisine, high-end restaurants and several topless men's clubs. This evening was my first time back in years. We originally had our hearts set on Fogo down the road, but the wait was too long, so we settled here since few restaurants are open on Thanksgiving. And I was glad we did! Food was awesome at an extremely good price. We also received amazing service. Im not going to lie, if I'm in the area again I would be more than happy to come back! I almost forgot to mention that as I recall, they stay open really late. This makes them appealing to the after hours crowds, which may explain their prevailing popularity.
